    For your consideration is the La Tausca jewelry box pictured above. A 1920's jewelry box, La Tausca was known for their high-end faux pearls and their beautiful presentation boxes. Their early jeweled boxes produced in 1915 were so popular that they won awards at the 1915 Panama-Pacific San Francisco World's Fair. Today, their faux pearls are not popular but their early jeweled boxes continue to be a desirable collectible item. The box pictured above measures approximately 6 X 6 X 6 inches hexagon X 2 inches in height. Each of the hexagon corners has a blue crystal glass
    cabochon

    The box is in very good condition for its age and the internal satin lining is intact and in very good condition. The jewelry box was
    ordinally
    designed with a 2nd shelf insert. The 2nd shelf insert is missing with this box. September 30, 1924 is the patent date on this piece and it is so marked on the bottom.
