Product Description
This very impressive platter, or plate, is about 12 1/2 inches in diameter. The rim of the piece is about 3/4 inch high. This rim slopes downward about 1 1/2 inches towards the center of the piece. This "rim" area has "spikes", alternating long and short on the "sloped" area. Inward from the rim area is a level space between the rim and the center "Starburst". This "level" area has a diamond that appears to "swirl". The diamonds are cut on the bottom of the this area, the surface is smooth.  In the center is a circular area about 3 inches in diameter, is what I'm calling a "Sunburst" which would also be a "Starburst" (Sun = Star). I discovered that if I hold the plate just right I can see a faint USA in the center ring.
