Gelmix is the first thickener for breast milk and formula specifically formulated for pediatric use in America. Gelmix utilizes organic carob bean gum, an ingredient used for decades to thicken infant milk in Europe and a healthier alternative to rice cereal. For best results, mix Gelmix powder into lukewarm liquid (between 95-110F) per dosage recommendations below: Half-Nectar (AR thick): Add 1 level scoop (1.2g) for every 3-4 fl. oz. Nectar: Add 2 level scoops (2.4g) for every 4 fl. oz. Always consult a physician before thickening liquids to ensure it is appropriate for your individual needs. Not for use with infants under 6 pounds and/or born pre-term currently under a corrected 42 weeks gestational age. Do not use if galactosemia or allergy to galactomannans is suspected. Stop using if rash or other allergic reaction develops, and consult a physician immediately. Not intended for use with pre-thickened formulas or other thickening products. May cause transient gassiness in first two weeks of use. To avoid, always start with lowest dosage required for desired thickness. It is not recommended to use honey like consistency with infants and children less than 1 year old. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Net weight of product is 4.4 ounces. Some settling may occur during shipment.
